Park & Recreation Meeting
Tuesday, January 14, 1986 T;O5 PM
Present: Larry Koch Leon L'Allier
Lloyd Welk Maureen Asleson
Absent: Floyd Kruger
Larry called meeting to order aid minutes were accepted from December 17th
meeting.
It was felt we show our appreciation to Marcel Rivard's many years on
the Park Board, since he will not be serving as a committee member in
1986. Maureen will look into having a plaque made up and present it,
hopefullyā€˛ at a Council Meeting in February.
Our Long Range Park Plans will be set on paper when a full Committee is
present. After such time, we will invite a Lion's Club representative to
go over each others wishes for the Park Site.
Larry commented that he had heard from 5 residents who commented on the
good condition of the ice this year. This is a good reflection on our
Rink Attendants. We feel they are doing a good job.
Maureen called Debbie to check if there is a First Aid Kit in City Hall
which could be used by rink attendants. If not, one should be obtained
soon.
Debbie will give us budget information that she presents to Council, so
we are aware of bills coming in and out to update thm Park & Recreation
budget. Leon made us aware that in our Budget we have Rink Attendants
and Snow Removal as separate accounts. There has been some lapping over,
as the Rink Attendants have been asked to help after the big snowfall in
December.
%e will look into the possibility of having one of the Centennial fireman
conduct a -basic First Aid course for our Rink Attendants.
Meeting adjourned 8t15PM
Respectfully submitted,
Park & Recreation Committee
