Park & Recreation Meeting <br /> Tuesday„ July 9, 1985 7:00 P.M. <br /> Presents Larry Koch Leon L <br /> Lloyd Welk Maureen Asleson <br /> Absents Marcel Rivard Floyd Kruger <br /> Minutes approved from June llth meeting. <br /> Presently, there is no available used park equipment at either Government <br /> Surplus oft—through sohool closings. The location of such equipment will be <br /> an ongoing project. <br /> Larry will contact Dick Garley on a bid for repair of the tennis court. <br /> The proposed Tot Lot at Royal Meadows will have the following equipment <br /> ordered in July;: <br /> 3 legged swing (9102) — 441 lbs. — 3 swings # 1 trapeze --$565 (listed) <br /> 16' long slide — 8' high (5818) $618 (listed) <br /> Two bleachers will be ordered to be used at Park on LaMotte Drit. <br /> Dan Tourville requested to post a sign on backstops at Park, banning glass <br /> bottles. He has come across broken bottles when cutting grass. The Little <br /> League and Softball coaches should be informak of the problem and request <br /> they inform players to make use of barrels in disposinig litter.. He also <br /> suggested the Park Board budget for spraying dandelions and begin a fertilizer <br /> program at Park. <br /> The:Park Board wishes to submit an Ordinance prohibiting the use of glass <br /> bottles in Parks. (See Attached) Availability of a sign to post at Park r will <br /> be investigated. A letter will: have to be composed and sent in Spring of "86 <br /> informing coaches of our concerns. <br /> There is also a need for additional barrels to be chained to posts for collect — <br /> ing trash at Park. <br /> Skating Rink fence poles are moving up. We forsee the skating rink to be <br /> located in near future at Park on LaMotte Drive. <br /> A request for the Fire Department' to use the future well at the Park via an <br /> overhead was submitted by Frank Zimny. It was decided that such decision <br /> with Fire Department communicating with Lions Club as it is their money being <br /> used for installation of well. <br /> Lions Club requested a size for Hockey Rink to be constructed.
