r
Park and Recreation Meeting
Tuesday, February 12, 1985, 7 :00 P.M.
Present: Leon L'Allier Floyd Kruger
Lloyd Welk
Absent: Maureen Aslesen Larry Koch
Committee met with monitors expressing complaints received,
and that more flooding was needed.
Opened formal Committee meeting at 7:15 P.M.
Discussion on complaints not related directly to rink attendants.
Committee discussed reorganizing itself. Two committee
members were absent so the matter was tabled.
Some basic bylaw ideas were set down. The Committee will
work further with them at the next regular meeting. A special
meeting to write up basic bylaws to be considered.
Discussed Lytle League teams request for two ballfields
May 1 throught July : Four nights - M - Th at 6:00 P.M.
Two nights - M & W at 6:00 P.M.
Approved the four nights M - Th at 6 :00 P.M. for the first
(north) field which has the protective fence for baseball
(hardball).
The two nights M & W at 6 :00 P.M. on the south field are
approved if our assumption is correct that this is for
girls softball, if this request is for baseball the request
is refused for the south field for safety reasons.
Considerable discussion concerning equipment for Royal
Meadows tot playground. Studied several catalogs. The
consensus was to try to get neighbors involved to show
their interest in assisting city in upkeep and policing
the park. Would like to know how many families and how
many children are in that immediate area.
Will ask Maureen to contact some citizens in the Royal
Meadows neighborhood - hopefully we could have some citizens
come to our next committee meeting.
The committee would like an update of the Committee budget
status.
Meeting adjourned at 8s30 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Park & Recreation Committee
