Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, October 7, 1992 at the City Hall. Acting <br /> Chairperson Larson called the meeting to order at 6:37 p.m. <br /> Present: Navin, Reisdorfer. Absent: Dixon, Drilling. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer to approve the September 2, <br /> 1992 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Proposed Acorn Creek Development - Park Land Dedication - Gerald <br /> Rehbein <br /> Gerald Rehbein, Developer of the proposed Acorn Creek <br /> Development, was present and noted he checked out the available <br /> vacant land by Acorn Creek and the property owners appear to want <br /> to much for the land. Mr. Rehbein stated that he is looking at <br /> other land now that the Park and Recreation Committee may be <br /> interested in. Thus, the Park and Recreation Committee will <br /> table this issue until next week. Mr. Rehbein will call the Park <br /> and Recreation Committee with anything new. <br /> Tights at Hockey Rink <br /> At this point, Chairperson Dixon contacts have not called to talk <br /> with Committee member Larson. <br /> Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer, for Committee member <br /> Larson to directly call Chairperson Dixon's contacts to get bids, <br /> as soon as possible, and call a special meeting once the bids are <br /> received, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Trash Cans <br /> Committee member Larson noted the cans have been placed in the <br /> parks. Committee member Larson will check to see if he can get <br /> more <br /> Animal Control <br /> Committee member Larson will check into the price of having signs <br /> made up, since nothing has been done up to this point. <br /> Sooner Fields <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Larson to have the City Clerk <br /> advise as to the status of the soccer field for discussion at our <br /> next meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Hot Dog Shack <br /> It was noted that the axle needed bearings. The replacement of <br /> the axle bearings was taken care of by Committee member Larson. <br /> The Public Works Department is continuing to work on the shack. <br /> It is hoped the work will be completed within two weeks. <br />
