P &R Meeting Minutes <br /> September 2, 1992 <br /> page two <br /> noted that the Centennial School District Observer has published <br /> details of what activates are to be offered and the dates. Ms. <br /> Turgeon also noted that Mike Lynch and a movie night have been <br /> set -up. A Family Recreation Night at Bunker Hills Park and fire <br /> arms instruction have been discussed as possible future <br /> activities. Ms. Turgeon noted that Kathy Wyland, Independent <br /> School District #12 Community Services, would like to co- sponsor <br /> a barn dance and may fund 50% of the function. Ms. Turgeon noted <br /> that she will update the Park and Recreation Committee again in <br /> three months. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Proposed Acorn Creek Development - Gerald Rehbein - Park Land <br /> Dedication <br /> It was noted the Moore's would like $80,000.00 for their 10 acres <br /> of land east of the proposed Acorn Creek Development. It was <br /> also noted that the park dedication fees for the proposed Acorn <br /> Creek Development would be approximately $40,000.00. <br /> Mr. Rehbein noted he would update the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee at the next meeting. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee decided to table discussion of <br /> the park land dedication for the proposed Acorn Creek Development <br /> until the next meeting. <br /> J,ights at Hockey Rink <br /> Committee member Larson will discuss bids with contractors for <br /> new lights. Chairperson Dixon is not available to meet with <br /> contractors to discuss bids. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee is only taking bids for new <br /> lights, poles and all that is needed (from scratch). It was <br /> noted that nobody is authorized, at this time, to approve bids <br /> before the Committee has discussed them. The Park and Recreation <br /> Committee would like at least two bids, but would prefer three <br /> bids. <br /> 1993 Budget <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee recommends to the City Council <br /> the 1993 Budget Dollar amount be $33,500.00. <br /> UPDATES <br /> Trash Cans <br /> It was noted that Mayor Buckbee donated 6 to 7 plastic barrels. <br /> The barrels are to be placed in the parks by September 30, 1992. <br />
