Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held a special meeting on <br /> Thursday, August 29, 1991 at the City Hall. Chairperson Dixon <br /> called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Drilling, <br /> LeTendre, Reisdorfer. <br /> Interviews for North Metro Recreation Commission <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee interviewed Patricia Turgeon <br /> and Michael Navin. The Park and Recreation Committee discussed <br /> each individual in order to choose between them. <br /> In the discussion it came to light that Mr. Navin may be <br /> qualified to become a member of the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee. Thus before making a recommendation to the City <br /> Council, Chairperson Dixon will contact him and ask if Mr. Navin <br /> would be interested in the open Park and Recreation Committee <br /> position. If Mr. Navin accepts the position on the Park and <br /> Recreation Committee, Ms. Turgeon will be recommended for the <br /> position of North Metro Recreation Commission Representative. <br /> Meeting Night <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee decided to change their meeting <br /> to the first Thursday of each month from October until December. <br /> At the point the Park and Recreation Committee will review the <br /> situation. <br /> Playground Equipment <br /> The member discussed the various options available. Committee <br /> member Drilling will ask a salesperson to attend the next <br /> meeting. <br /> Nite Golf Tournament <br /> Everything is set for the first night. Supplies have all been <br /> ordered and members are in process of gathering door prizes from <br /> local businesses. <br /> Fences <br /> Committee member LeTendre obtained the following quotes for <br /> additional fencing around the ball fields at Central Park: <br /> Foul Line Fences <br /> - 8 ft. tall by 250 ft. long $2,325 <br /> - 8 ft. tall by 80 ft. long $ 750 <br /> 6 ft. tall by 250 ft. long $1,860 <br /> - Out Field Fence (each) <br /> - 8 ft. tall $4,995 <br /> - 6 ft. tall $3,970 <br /> Committee member Letendre also received a quote for -a fence <br /> around the water tower and shed: <br /> Six foot fence, 20 feet from the tower and shed with <br /> two twelve foot gates $2 <br />
