THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> ICE SKATING RINK ATTENDANT <br /> PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> SALARY <br /> $7.50 to $8.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. No benefits. <br /> SCOPE OF JOB <br /> Under administrative direction, the supervisor is responsible for monitoring the warming house <br /> and skating rink. Must be available to work week nights and/or weekends from mid December to <br /> mid February. <br /> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 1. Supervise and monitor warming house facility and skating rink. <br /> 2. Maintain warming house area and restroom. <br /> 3. Shovel snow to building entrance. <br /> 4. Perform light ice maintenance duties. <br /> 5. Monitor skating rinks to ensure safe skating. <br /> 6. Keep general skating area free from debris. <br /> 7. Perform record keeping tasks (time sheets, schedules and other required reports). <br /> 8. Maintain and control equipment inventory. <br /> 9. Provide general direction and supervision to youth and adults. <br /> 10. Perform other duties as assigned. <br /> KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br /> 1. Knowledge of general house keeping techniques for building maintenance. <br /> 2. Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in English with all age groups. <br /> 3. Ability to maintain skating building and rink in a safe manner. <br /> 4. Knowledge of and ability to apply basic first -aid techniques. <br /> 5. Ability to keep and maintain records. <br /> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br /> 1. Must be at least 14 years of age. <br /> 2.
