ITEM 10 —PARK AND RECREATION ORGANIZATION <br /> Describe how your community addresses park and recreation issues. Additional ranking points <br /> will be awarded if you can document the existence of an active Park and Recreation board, <br /> committee or similar organization formally established by the applicant to address park and <br /> recreation issues. Appropriate documentation must include a copy of the local resolution <br /> creating the park and recreation organization or a copy of the minutes appointing the current <br /> members, a current committee roster and meeting schedule of the organization. <br /> The City of Centerville has had a formal Park and Recreation Committee since 1972. The <br /> current committee consists of five members. The group meets regularly on the first Wednesday <br /> of the month at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. The meeting times are posted on the community bulletin <br /> board and are published in the monthly and quarterly newsletter. In addition, there are currently <br /> two advisory committees that have been established to provide input to the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee in regards to recreational programming and park development. <br /> The current Park and Recreation Committee Members are as follows: <br /> Michael Navin, Chairperson <br /> Dale Larson <br /> Douglas Porter <br /> Karla DeVine <br /> Wayne LeBlanc <br /> Attached is Resolution 00 -01 which identifies the appointed Park and Recreation Committee <br /> members for the present year. <br />
