The Park and Recreation Committee directed Ms. Lien to <br /> contact the City of Shoreview's Community Center to find out the liabilities and/or any <br /> other information regarding bike tracks. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> February 2, 2000 Park and Recreation Meeting Minutes <br /> Motion by Mr. Larson, seconded by Ms. DeVine to approve the February 2, 2000 <br /> Park and Recreation Meeting Minutes. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> March 1. 2000 Park and Recreation Meeting Minutes <br /> Motion by Mr. Porter, seconded by Ms. DeVine to approve the March 1, 2000 Park <br /> and Recreation Meeting Minutes, with noted changes. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Set date for Dedication of Laurie LaMotte Park <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee discussed possible dates for the Dedication of Laurie <br /> LaMotte Park. The committee elected to have the dedication the week of May 22n with <br /> a specific date to be determined at the May 3r meeting. The committee was pleased with <br /> the draft invitation submitted by Ms. Lien, along with the list of past Park and Recreation <br /> members, liaisons, intern, Public Works Staff, current City Council, Commissions and <br /> Committees. The committee requested Ms. Lien draft a letter requesting donations for <br /> refreshments to be offered at the dedication, from the local business owners, Centerville <br /> Lions Club, Centennial Fire District, and Cub's Bakery for a cake. <br /> Compiled List of 2000 Goals <br /> Trees <br /> Mr. Larson explained that he had plotted out the trees at all of the parks in the previous <br /> month. He will provide the sketch to Ms. Lien to put in the May Park • id Recreation <br /> Packet. The consensus of the committee was to have Mr. Larson co someone with <br /> a spade and obtain a quote for moving/planting trees for the May meeting. <br /> Eagle Park Lighting <br /> Mr. LeBlanc expressed his concern with the "City Theme Workshop" meeting held on <br /> March 21'. He was ready to present his recommendations for the lighting at Eagle Park, <br /> but wasn't given the opportunity. Mr. LeBlanc is proposing two different options with <br /> the lighting at Eagle Park. One option is to have high poles, which could have one of <br /> many different styles of lights, and the other would be to have a shorter pillar style poles <br /> commonly seen along trails.
