Goetz Landscape & Irrigation, Inc.
Goetz Garden Center
2030 Main Street Minnesota Nursery Sl. Landscape
Centerville, Minnesota 55038 Association Member
Voice: 651/426-2136
Fax: 651/ 426 -2451
Thank you for your business. To provide you with the best service possible, we have included the
information below to assist you in establishing and maintaining your perennial beds.
CARE FOR YOUR PERENNIALS
1. Most of the perennials that we plant are hardy for Minnesota. If we
have planted a tender perennial - we'll tell you which one(s) are - it will
need winter protection. The easiest protection is to rake leaves over the
plant after the first hard frost or once the plant goes dormant. In the
spring, the leaves can then be removed once the threat of severe cold is
over.
2. Most young perennials benefit from having last year's dead foliage
removed. As the plant matures and becomes established this practice
becomes less necessary.
3. The perennial bed will need to be weeded. As the bed becomes more
established, the perennials will become more effective competitors
against the weeds, and less weeding will be required.
4. All perennials will require an inch of rainfall or water each week of the
growing season.
5. Most perennials benefit from the application of a perennial type
fertilizer. Follow label directions. (A general garden fertilizer is OK, too).
Information compiled from the University of Minnesota Extension Bulletins.
Professional Installation Outstanding Service
