JUNE 26, 2000 <br /> To: Park and Recreation Committee <br /> City of Centerville <br /> I am interested in filling the vacancy on the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee. I have lived in Centerville for the past twelve years and <br /> have the pleasure of serving the citizens of Centerville as a staff <br /> member in the public works department. <br /> My involvement with youth activities includes coaching baseball and <br /> softball for the Centennial Athletic Association over the last five years. <br /> I have also been involved with the Soccer Association and coached at <br /> this level. As a father of four children I have a vested interest in the <br /> future development of park and recreation programs within the City of <br /> Centerville. <br /> I am willing to volunteer my time to provide quality park and <br /> recreation programs within the City and have several ideas to enhance <br /> existing programs such as the ice skating and hockey activities at <br /> Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. <br /> I believe the City could coordinate programs with other groups such as <br /> the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Centennial school sport activities such <br /> as Community Skate Night and tee -ball outings. <br /> All my life I have been extensively involved in sport activities and <br /> believe that all citizens, especially our youth, can benefit from well <br /> organized park and recreation programs. <br /> If you have any questions or need additional information please feel <br /> free to to contact me at 1651]426- 3272.Thank you for your time and <br /> consideration. <br /> Si <br /> edd E.
