Nearly every staff
member is involved in some capacity. Many are also involved in a volunteer
capacity. Everything seems to be on track and no major problems are foreseen.
We hope to see you tonight at bingo, fireworks, and the start of the carnival and
softball tournament. Thank you to everyone involved for your hard work to make
this event a reality.
• The Farmers Insurance office is advertising their grand opening today. Cedar
siding is being installed at the old LaMotte General Store. The building is
looking great.
• There is a "Tour de Ville" scheduled for tomorrow morning at 6:30. If you are
interested in going for a pleasurable bike ride of the City meet at the elementary
school. The ride is scheduled to last for one hour and is being hosted by
Centerville resident Patricia Scott.
• I received a cost estimate for a City monument entrance sign from Molin
Concrete. The quote is $22,165. This would involve a monument entrance sign
constructed of colored, etched concrete.
• The County Bank has completed their plans for the proposed new banking
facility. They have not started construction yet due to some paperwork that they
were just able to file with the banking commission.
• See you at the festival!
7/28/00
