OLD BUSINESS <br /> Design Team — "Ideas in Action" <br /> Mr. March stated that he had been notified by a women who stated that she was with the <br /> Minnesota Design Team and that she would be forwarding a survey to the City in an <br /> attempt to assist those communities that they visited with previously in locating funding <br /> for implementation in the projects that they recommended. Mr. March stated that he <br /> would forward same to Chair Rehbine. <br /> City Theme <br /> No report given. <br /> Phase I — Downtown Revitalization <br /> Mr. March reported that the City would be notified by the end of the month if it was <br /> awarded the Met. Council's Livable Communities Grant. Mr. March noted that there <br /> were a total of 46 grant applications submitted; however, 19 submissions were in the <br /> category that the City applied for funding (enhanced transit project). <br /> Star City Goals and Objectives <br /> Mr. Rehbine reported that the Lino Lakes Chamber of Commerce is starting an <br /> Ambassador Club. <br /> Winter Activity <br /> Mr. Rehbine stated that he would contact local business owners in regards to activities, <br /> funding, etc. <br /> Ordinance #4 Update <br /> Mr. March reported that there would be a public hearing on June 28, 2000. Several <br /> committee members questioned enforcement of the ordinance and assessment of fines for <br /> violations. <br /> Business Owners Comments <br /> No report given. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Centerville Merchandise/Booth <br /> The committee discussed funds raised last year. Mr. March reported that an order had <br /> been submitted for merchandise. Ms. Scheller volunteered to sell merchandise. Lengthy <br /> discussion was had in regards to placement of a booth. <br />
