The consumer shall provide the
plant, shrubs and trees with all reasonable and proper care.
(Exclusions)
1. Any plants, shrubs or trees which have not been given reasonable and proper care by the consumer; or
any product which has improper use after planting.
2. Losses due to drought, frost, fire, flood, tornado, lightning or other severe weather conditions (e.g.,
extreme winter weather), vandalism, theft, animal damage, lack of or excessive moisture, or other
factors beyond control of Larson Landscape & Nursery, Inc.
3. Any plants, shrubs or trees which have had improper applications of pesticides or fertilizers.
4. Any plants, shrubs or trees planted and /or transplanted at consumers property that were not supplied by
the warrantor at time of said planting and /or transplanting.
5. When bill has not been paid in accordance with terms of sale.
Consumer Responsibility
1. Watering all plants. This should be done by thoroughly wetting the rootsoil mass every 10 to 14 days
during the growing season providing there has not been at least one inch of rain in the interim period.
Do not over water plants as this can cause as much trouble as not enough water. A good method of
checking soil moisture is to dig through the mulch, using your finger, into the top two inches of soil. This
should be done within two to six inches of the trunk of the plant. If soil is wet, the plant will have
sufficient moisture. (Additional horticultural printed material is available to you free of charge from
Larson Landscape & Nursery for our customers; please ask).
2. Pest control. Keep plants free of injurious insects and diseases by timely and proper application(s) of
pesticides. We can offer assistance for this on a time and material basis.
3. Cultivation. Keep plantings free of weeds. (The horticultural definition of a weed is simply an unwanted plant).
Underground Obstructions
In the event underground construction, utilities, major rocks or other obstructions are encountered in excavation of
planting areas or pits, other locations for the plant material may be selected with the consent of the customer. Any
obstructions that have to be removed will be charged on a time and material basis to the customer.
2000 Spring Tree Sale
P 9
sehit
Spring is a Perfect Time for Planting Trees! •
Revised 1/00
