Not Approved <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> April 12, 2000 <br /> 6:00 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly <br /> scheduled meeting on April 12, 2000, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber • <br /> Council Member Dick Travis <br /> Council Member Terry Sweeney <br /> Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers <br /> Council Member Mari Nelson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> STAFF: City Administrator, Jim March <br /> City Attorney, James Hoeft <br /> City Engineer, Tom Peterson <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the April 12, 2000 City Council meeting to order at 6:04 <br /> p.m. <br /> II. PUBLIC HEARING (S) <br /> III. APPEARANCES /AWARDS <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated Mr. Todd Smith was present from Anoka County <br /> Assessing to address comments or concerns from residents on recent County <br /> assessments. <br /> Mr. Smith explained this meeting would hold the local Board of Review for <br /> Centerville to address concerns from property owners. He explained how it was <br /> dictated, reviewed the number of lots that were taxable, and the growth of the <br /> City. <br /> Mr. Smith reviewed a map of areas that will be assessed for 2001 as those being <br /> lots near the lake and south of town. He stated the Main Street area was done for <br /> year 2000. It was noted that Jerry Foust was also present to observe the meeting. <br /> Hearing no comments or concerns from the public, Mr. Smith asked that the <br /> Council take a minute to sign the assessment notice for the County. <br /> Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council <br /> Member Sweeney to Close the Board of Review. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> 1 <br />
