Not Approved <br /> CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> APRIL 18, 2000 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic Development Committee held <br /> their regularly scheduled meeting on April 18, 2000 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> Present: EDC Chairperson Tim Rehbine <br /> Committee Member Mary Capra <br /> Committee Member Lori Dorn <br /> Committee Member John Magill <br /> Committee Member Besty Scheller <br /> Council Member Dick Travis <br /> Staff: EDC /Staff Liaison Aimee Fairbrother <br /> Absent: Committee Member Paul Montain <br /> Committee Member Michelle Moser <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Acting chairperson Magill called the regular scheduled EDC meeting to order at 7:11 p.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion by Mr. Magill, seconded by Ms. Capra to approve the March 21, 2000, meeting <br /> minutes. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> City Theme (Historical) <br /> Mr. Magill feels the downtown business owners who have a direct impact are the key to <br /> revitalization in the downtown. Mr. Magill added that it is apparent revitalization is starting to <br /> happen on its own, and stated several residents have expressed positive comments about the <br /> changes. <br /> Mr. Montain was not present for the EDC meeting. EDC will discuss more on this agenda item <br /> after Mr. Montain meets with the downtown business owners about their future building plans in <br /> the downtown area. Mr. Montain is also working on coordinating costs on different elements of <br /> the revitalization. Ms. Scheller is willing to work with Mr. Montain on coordinating meetings <br /> with the downtown area business owners. Ms. Scheller has had experience serving as a <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
