City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />December 9, 2009 <br /> <br />Finance Director Jeziorski reviewed information on the General Fund Budget for the <br />Amended 2009 Budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Love to approve Res. #09-037 – Approving Amended 2009 Budget. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />4.Res. #09-038 – Establishing a Minimum General Fund Balance <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information stating the City policy is to <br />try and keep between 40 to 55 percent of planned expenditures and transfers to meet <br />working capital and small emergency needs. He explained that this is to formalize <br />documentation for bonding agencies; however the City can amend at a later date if <br />needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to <br />approve Res. #09-038 –Establishing a Minimum General Fund Balance. All in <br /> <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Approval of Res. #09-039 – Shared Salt Supplies (State of MN Dept. of Transportation) <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information stating this would be the <br />first year that the City would use only salt on roads rather than the normal sand/salt mix. <br />He explained there would be less sweeping and less debris in the ponds next spring. He <br />also stated the salt would be stored in the Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />facilities, being the City does not have adequate facilities for storage. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />to approve Res. #09-039 – Shared Salt Supplies (State of MN Dept. of <br />Transportation). All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. Approval of Updated Personnel Policy <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed all of the changes made to the Personnel Policy. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve the updated Personnel Policy. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Acceptance of the 2010 Local 49’ers Contract Provisions <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information regarding contract <br />provisions that were accepted by Union Local 49 representing Public Works Employees. <br />No monetary increases are included in the contract. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br />
