STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> Res. #09 -043 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR HIGH SPEED BROADBAND <br /> CONNECTIVITY <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County has embarked on a project to determine the interest in and <br /> needs for high speed broadband connectivity in Anoka County; and <br /> WHEREAS, there are increasing educational, economic, and community benefits to <br /> increased high speed connectivity. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE RESOLVED by the City Council of Centerville, Minnesota <br /> supports the effort of Anoka County to develop a broadband vision and solicit <br /> public /private partnerships through a Request for Proposal process. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Centerville supports submission of a <br /> federal grant to secure funding to implement the broadband vision. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Centerville recognizes that broadband <br /> through optical fiber will be a long -term benefit to all citizens. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Centerville on December 29, 2009. <br /> —, Mary Capra, M or <br /> CAT TEST: <br /> Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
