Centervi[fe, :M:N 55038 <br />(651) 429-3232 . if'a.:{(651) 429-8629 <br /> <br />ST A TE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06 - 005 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF SPONSORSHIP OF THE A TT ACHED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City ofCenterville met on January 11, 2006 at City Hall; and <br /> <br />BE RESOLVED that the City of Centerville acts as the legal sponsor for project(s) contained in the <br />Anoka County Community Development Block Grant Application to be submitted on January 9, 2006 <br />and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply to Anoka County for funding of this project as <br />submitted on behalf of the City ofCenterville <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Centerville has the legal authority to apply for <br />financial assistance and the institutional, managerial, and financial capacity to ensure adequate <br />construction, operation, maintenance and replacement of the proposed project for its design life. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Centerville has not incurred any costs, has not entered <br />into any written agreements to purchase property. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Centerville has not violated any Federal, State, or <br />local laws pertaining to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusions, conflict of interest or other unlawful <br />or corrupt practice. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon approval of its application by the State, the City of <br />Centerville may enter into an agreement with Anoka County for the above-referenced project(s) and that <br />the City of Centerville certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in <br />all contract agreements. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute <br />such agreements, and amendments thereof, as are necessary to implement the project(s) on behalf of the <br />applicant. <br /> <br />Passed by the City Council of the City ofCenterville this lIth day of January, 2006. <br /> <br />~11)1 4lGg \ ("'1"-"''''- <br />Mayor, Mary Capr <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />-~~~~),~4 <br /> <br />City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br />
