L\ LAtCC <br /> Subd. 2. Rules and Definitions. <br /> A. Rules. The language set forth in the text of this Ordinance shall be'innterpreted <br /> in accordance with the following rules of construction: <br /> 1. The singular number includes the plural, and the plural the singular. <br /> 2. The present tense includes the past and the future tenses, and the future <br /> the present. <br /> 3. The words "shall" and "must " - are mandatory while the word "+may"" is <br /> permissive. <br /> 4. The masculine gender includes the feminine and neuter. <br /> 5. Whenever a word or term defined hereinafter appears in the text of this <br /> Ordinance, its meaning shall be construed as set forth in such definition <br /> thereof. <br /> 6. In the event of conflicting provisions, the more restrictive shall apply. <br /> 7. All measured distances expressed in feet shall be the nearest tenth of a <br /> foot. <br /> 8. In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this Ordinance shall <br /> be held to be the minimum requirement for the promotion of health, safety, <br /> and welfare. <br /> B. Definitions. The following words and terms, wherever they occur in this <br /> Ordinance, shall be interpreted as herein defined: <br /> Accessory Building. A portion of the principal building or a detached structure <br /> on the same lot which is used for an accessory use. <br /> Accessory Use. A use of land or of a building or portion thereof customarily <br /> incidental and subordinate to the principal use of the land or building and located <br /> on the same lot with such principal use. <br /> Addition. A physical enlargement of an existing structure. <br /> Adjoining Lot or Land. A lot or parcel of land which shares all or part of a <br /> common lot Tine with another lot or parcel of land. <br /> Adult Use Related Terms. <br /> Lino Lakes Zoning Ordinance Title / Application / Rules <br /> Amended per Ord.
