City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 13, 2010 <br />Announcements/Updates, added Item 2, Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to approve <br />the agenda as amended. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />IV. APPROVAL OF COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br /> <br />1.December 29, 2009 Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />the December 29, 2009 Council Meeting Minutes as presented. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville December 30, 2009 through January 13, 2010 Claims (Check <br />#25075 – 25099) & (Check #25101– 25111) <br /> <br />2.Centennial Fire District Claims through January 4, 2010 (Check #4117 – 4128) <br /> <br />3.Centennial Lakes Police Department Claims through December 28, 2009 (Check <br />#7601–7579) <br />4. Successful Performance Review & Completion of Probationary Period, Mr. Mike <br />Jeziorski, Finance Director – from Step 2 to Step 3 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br />approve the Consent Agenda as amended. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br /> <br />1.Ms. Lori Bombeck, Centerville Lions – Letter of Support (EAA-Young Eagle <br /> Rally) <br /> <br />Ms. Bombeck appeared before the City Council and stated that she has met with the <br />Centennial Police Department, Centennial Fire Department, Anoka County Sheriff Office <br />and several members of the EAA Benson 745 Airport, who have all reviewed the plan <br />and are all in support of the event. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra noted the Sheriff’s safety concerns and asked about the City liability for the <br />event. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser stated that the ultimate safety and liability concerns lie with the <br />plane company and not with the City. He added the City is just offering a letter of <br />support. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar asked that all of the Staff recommendations and criteria are met. <br />Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br />
