<br />The Commission requested shoreland ordinances from surrounding and comparable sized <br />communities. <br /> <br />January Agenda Items <br />Ms. Gaustad reported to the Commission potential January agenda items: additional shoreland <br />information, Ms. Stevens-Greene request to vacate a construction easement, consideration to <br />accept revised Park View development sketch plans, and a request for a comprehensive plan <br />amendment to provide MUSA to properties north of the city. Ms. Welk requested an update on <br />the tobacco ordinance. Ms. Welk added youth who violate the tobacco ordinance could do <br />community service, volunteer work in a cancer ward, help in nursing homes, shovel senior citizens <br />walkways or require the youth to pick up cigarette butts along the road. <br /> <br />Lifetime Achievement Award. Citizen, and Business Person of the Year <br />The chair noted nomination applications for Lifetime Achievement Award, Citizen, and Business <br />Person of the Year were enclosed in each P & Z packet. <br /> <br />Commission Member Absences <br />Mr. LaMotte reported due a conflict in his schedule he will be unable to attend the next five <br />Commission meetings. However, Mr. LaMotte will continue to communicate to the Commission <br />by written memorandums. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />MOTION by Ms. Broussard-Vickers to adjourn the December 2, 1997 meeting. Motion <br />seconded by Mr. Buckbee.
