<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> <br />OCTOBER 7, 1997 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />Centerville held their regularly scheduled meeting on October 7, 1997. Chairperson Kathy Welk <br />called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Chairperson Kathy Welk <br />Linda Broussard-Vickers <br />AI LaMotte <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Tina Vermeulen <br /> <br />STAFF/CONSULTANTS: City Administrator Jim March <br /> <br />****************************************************************************** <br /> <br />OPENING <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEMS <br />July 1. 1997 Meeting Minutes <br />MOTION by Ms. Broussard-Vickers to approve the July 1, 1997 meeting minutes. Motion <br />seconded by Ms. Welk. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />September 2. 1997 Meeting Minutes <br />MOTION by Ms. Welk to table the September 2, 1997 meeting minutes. Motion seconded by <br />Mr. LaMotte. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Developer Gerald Rehbein presented a proposed preliminary plat for the Willow Glen Business <br />Park. Mr. Rehbein stated the house located of 20th Avenue will eventually be moved. Mr. <br />Rehbein explained his vision for the business park access. Adding, he would like to see an access <br />between lots one and two, and lots three and four off of Main Street. Mr. Rehbein indicated a <br />building is being designed for the site south of Eagle Trucking which will be presented to the <br />Commission within the next thirty days. <br /> <br />Ms. Broussard-Vickers expressed concern with creating another traffic issue similar to Comer <br />Express. The Commission discussed several access schemes. The Commission felt traffic flows <br />need to be studied. Mr. March mentioned that the zoning shown on the preliminary plat was <br />incorrect and Mr. Rehbein agreed. <br /> <br />MOTION by Ms. Broussard-Vickers to close the public hearing. Motion seconded by Mr. <br />LaMotte. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
