OLD BUSINESS <br /> Goals <br /> Ms. Lien e�cplained tha.t she included this on the agenda once again for anyone who <br /> would like to update the committee on any of their goals. <br /> Trees: <br /> Mr. Porter e�lained that as mentioned at the previous meeting, the City would obtain a <br /> much better deal if they ordered trees in conjunction with Mr. Goetz of Goetz Landscape <br /> & Irrigation. Mr. Goetz is waiting on Mr. Porter to submit a tree selection so he can <br /> place the order. <br /> The committee elected at this point to table the goals and "re-visit" at the September <br /> meeting. Each member will update the committee on the status of their goa.ls from <br /> beginning to date, along with the status of their respective budgets. <br /> Trail Ma�s to City Engineer <br /> Ms. Lien explained the Mr. Schluender (City Engineer) had dropped off a copy of the <br /> proposed trail map requested by the Parks and Recreation Committee. The map indicated <br /> existing paved trails, e�cisting sidewalks and future trails. Mr. Schulender requested the , <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee look over the proposed map, make any changes, ' <br /> corrections or additions, and they will make the updates before any final copies are made. ' <br /> Ms. Lien ha.d already indicated the committee wanted to have the parks shaded in green. I <br /> The committee reviewed and discussed several options related to the proposed trail ma.p, <br /> and decided to table the discussion until the September meeting. <br /> Mr. LeBlanc took the opportunity to distribute a copy of Anoka County's Trail ' <br /> Specifications. Discussion entailed related to width of trails, and the following motion �' <br /> was made: <br /> Motion by Mr. LeBlanc, seconded by Mr. Porter to recommend to City Council to <br /> adopt/add Anoka County's Trail Standard Specifications with a 10' standard width. <br /> After further discussion, the motion was amended as follows: <br /> Motion by Mr. LeBlanc, seconded by Mr. Porter to recommend to City Council to <br /> adopt/add Anoka County's Trail Standard Specifications with a varying width, with <br /> a minimum of eight (8) feet, subject to Parks and Recreation's approval, per <br /> individual development. All in favor. Motion carried ananimously. <br /> Mr. LeBlanc will be contacting Barry Bernstein, Recreation Program Supervisor, for the <br /> City of Lino Lakes to find out the status of the "Sport Complex" and report back at the <br /> September meeting. <br /> 2 <br />
