Environmental Partnerships Grant Program ,�P���� � <br /> y 9 <br /> Information Sheet - 2001 Application Cycle � <br /> ��nu►r�`" <br /> Program Purpose: To encourage environmental service projects and <br /> related education activities through public and private partnerships. <br /> Eligible Projects: Eligible projects include but are not limited to: community <br /> ehvironmental service projects to clean up natural azeas such as streams, lakes and <br /> wetlands; prepare and produce environmental education products such as handbooks, <br /> manuals, videos and newsletters; and develop educational sites and exhibits that <br /> demonstrate environmental conservation principles. Creative project ideas that meet the <br /> program purpose above are encouraged. Grant funas cannot be used to ftu2d curricula, <br /> existing staff and program activities or capital development such as buildings and trails. <br /> Who May Apply: Private organizations, counties, cities, townships, school districts, and <br /> native American bands. i <br /> Priorities: Cooperative efforts among local governments, school districts, and private <br /> organizations and creative projects that meet the program purpose. Projects are selected I <br /> based on regional priorities. �, <br /> Level of Assistance: A maximum of 50% of the total eligible project costs not to exceed I <br /> a maximum grant of $20,000. The minimum grant amount is $1,000. Costs must be <br /> incurred and paid before reimbursement can be made. I <br /> General Information: Applications are due by March 31, 2001. Grant awards will be ' <br /> announced in the summer.
