tervife
Italics = New information.
Normal = No change from last report.
CITY OF CENTERVILLE
MONTHL YENGMEERI'S REPORT
For the April 14, 2010 City Council Meeting
i. 21 Avenue /Backage Road (000616- 05143 -0). Mylars have been printed and are being signed
by the necessary officials as well as the Sheehys. Once the signatures are obtained and all taxes are
made current, the plat can be recorded.
We are also preparing to give a deposition related to Sheehys contestment of their assessment.
2. Old Mill Road Improvements (000616- 06147 -0). We received the signed final pay request from
the bonding company. However, they have not provided all IC -134s or Lien Waivers and have stated
that he will not be able to produce them. The City Attorney is reviewing the situation.
3. TE Grant Trail Project (000616- 08165 -0). Plans have been submitted to MNDOT and all other
agencies and private utilities. We have received comments from MNDOT and are addressing them at
the time of this report. We intend to resubmitt the plans and specifications prior to the upcoming City
Council meeting. MNDOTs comments were limited and we appear to be on track with compiling the
necessary paperwork, including permits, to gain authorization to bid.
City and Bonestroo staffs are working out arrangements for the inspection of the project. The federal
funding will require specialized documentation as well as advanced MNDOT certifications. Proper
inspection and documentation will be imperative to ensure our funding is secured.
A tentative schedule would have us beginning construction just after the 4 of July.
4. 2008 Downtown Storm Water Improvements (000616- 08167 -0). The Board of Water and Soil
Resources (BWSR) has agreed to partial funding through the Clean Water Legacy Act grant to construct
only the irrigation portion of the downtown storm water project. We are scheduled to meet with Rice
Creek Watershed District (RCWD) to review their funding commitment on the e. Once we know the
complete funding picture, we will bring forth a proposal to complete the plans and specifications with
the intent of constructing the project this summer,
5. 2009 Pond Dredging (000616- 09168 -0). The contractor has been completing clean -up work. A
Anal pay request could be issued soon.
6. Peltier Lake Drive Area Street & Utility Improvements (2009.01) (000616- 09169 -0), 2009
Street Improvements (2009.02) (000616- 09170 -0). Work is now complete on both projects
with the exception of wear course paving (intended for 2010) and minor punch list work. City and
Sonestroo staff will be giving the projects a spring inspection and working with the contractor to finalize
any punch list items prior to paving the wear course.
We are working with RCWD to address a few rain garden performance issues
7. Miscellaneous
• We have submitted a proposal to assist with bidding out the possible water services project for low
to moderate income homes funded through a Community Development Block Grant.
- End of memo -
