� x: CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING MINUTES SEPTEMBER 14, 1998 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic Development Committe� held their re�ular scheduled meeting on September 14, 1998. Chairperson Tim Rehbein called the me�ting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present: Mary Capra, Theresa Brennex, Jim March, Paul Montain, and John MaCrill. Others present: Lucy Thompson and Penny Simonson, both from the Minnesota Design Team. Q��roval of Auaust 1998 Minutes Motion by Mary Capra to approve the August 199$ meeting nninutes. Motion was seconded by Paul Montain. Motion was carried with John MaGill abstaining. Downtown revitatization Thersesa Brenner passed out the fifth draft of the proposed schedule, for the Desi;n Team visit. Only minor changes were made. Facilities - They will have a site man;er at the school for $12 per hour. The position ', would entail approximently 13 hours, for a totai of about $156.00 We will need volunteers for set up and tear down. We will need to find a cordless mike to use. Paul Montain could find a slide projector if the school cannot supply one. TJ from the Cabte Commission will be available for taping a lot of th� time. i Presentation - Centerville Lake Association and Rice Creek Trai1 Association to date have not responded. Randy Hagerty would like ta give a presentation. Confirmation letters have been sent out to alI others. Jim March has atl the maps ready. Paul Montain wi�l i drop off the topography map. i� Fund Raising - Is now completed. Some colIection is still necessary. I ', Lodgin� - Mary Capra stated lodging is completed. There will be tweive members visiting I with the students. Public - Working on direct flyer. The school did a write-up in their newsletter. Could possibly do a flyer with the agenda on it, or possiblibly do an ad in the Quad. Flyers are available at St. Genevives Church. Food - Theresa Brenner and Mary Capra checked out Sams Club and also met with Bill Bisek. They decided that it was more cost effective to do it ourselves with help from the church volunteers. Sunday Brunch will be held at Kelly's. Tour - Tim Rehbein and Theresa Brenner came up with a route for the walkin� and bus tour. Tim Rehbein will do the lead on the bus. Then Mary Capra and Tim will lead the walking tour.
