� <br /> :., <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> SEPTEMBER 2,1998 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regularly scheduled meeting on September 2, 1998 at City Hall. <br /> Chairperson Michael Navin called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: Chairperson Michael Navin <br /> Dou� Porter <br /> Steve Brown (left meeting @7:25) <br /> Da1e Larson <br /> STAFF: Jim March <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> May S, 1998 — Minutes tabled. <br /> August S, 1998 — Minutes. Doug Porter moved to approve the August 5, Park and <br /> Recreation minutes. Motion seconded by Dale Larson. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Willie Lessa�•d of Center Villa. Mr. Lessard gave an overview of his plans to change all <br /> the homes in his Center Vilta development to residential. Currently this would include <br /> twenty-two homes, on thirteen acres. He requested clarification on park and dedication <br /> fees & also offered outlot A, which is on the East side of 20 Ave. He would consider a <br /> trade on the land in exchange for a reduction in park and dedication fees. Doug Porter <br /> will follow up with Mr. Lessard regarding fees. <br /> Cai°l Buechler of Buechler Fstates. Mr. Buechler gave an overview of his plans to <br /> develop Buechler Estates on Mound Trail. He was interested in clarification of Park and <br /> Recreation fees. Doug Porter will follow up with Mr. Buechler regarding fees. <br /> Pat Mahr. Pat is currently the President of Centennial Little Leag�.ze. Pat presented <br /> Michael Navin with a sponsorship plaque. <br /> Barry Brainard. Mr. Brainard resides at 1853 Revoir Street in Centerville. Mr. Brainard <br /> wanted to know the plans for Acorn Creek Park. The neighborhood is interested in <br /> seeing some development of the park. A brief discussion was held. Steve Brown and <br /> Barry Brainard were going to discuss with neighbors what they would like to see in the <br /> park. LaMotte Park is the first priority, which was noted to Mi Brainard. <br /> Interviews. Interviews were conducted for the open seat on the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee. The candidates that appeared for interviewing were Monica Travis, Paul <br />
