�• . <br /> . <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> DECEMBER 4, 1996 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regularly scheduied meeting on December 4, 1996. Meeting was <br /> called to order at 6:44 PM. Members present: Nancy Johnson, Kevin Fogerty, Rick <br /> Thompson and Michael Navin. City Councilmember Liaison, Laura Powers-Rasmussen <br /> and Jim March, City Administrator. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> MOTION by Navin, seconded by Fogerty to approve the minutes of October 2, 1996. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES: ' <br /> FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS: <br /> i�NFINISHEi� BUSINESS• <br /> 1. Hockey Rink - Park and Recreation request Public Works do the following: <br /> a. Flood both rinks daily <br /> b. Check equipment to ensure proper operation. <br /> Navin will check with Centennial Fire Department for first aid courses for employees. <br /> Navin and Fogerty will provide feedback on job applicants. <br /> 2. Eagle Pass Park - Park and Recreation acknowledge the presentation of Mike Quigley <br /> frnm the last months meeting. Park and Recreation will table this issue until Mike Quigley <br /> presents the items discussed with Park and Recreation Committee i.e. picnic paviiion, <br /> smaller swing set, monkey bar set ups and the sport court. <br /> 3. North Metro Recreation - MOTION by Navin, seconded by 7ohnson to have the Park <br /> and Recreation Committee forward to the city council the recommendation that <br /> Centerville be an active participant in the development of a joint powers agreement and a <br /> proposal to enter into an agreement with Lino Lakes, Lexington and Circle Pines to <br /> provide recreation programs to the citizens of Centerville in lieu of the North Metro <br /> recreation Program. All negotiations and proposals are subject to final Park and <br /> Recreation review and City Council approval. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 4. Park Development - no discussion <br />
