Chairperson Hanson <br />indicated that no changes were made to that part of the Ordinance. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Broussard Vickers indicated that a resident had thought there was <br />something wrong with the language of the Ordinance concerning parking in driveways <br />but the Commission had determined that the way the Ordinance is written is what the <br />Commission intended to allow. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hanson indicated the Commission clarified the wording of the sentence but <br />said the meaning is the same. <br /> <br />Mrs. Camp-Barron of 7121 Centerville Road asked what page of Ordinance #4 covered <br />parking in the driveway. Commissioner Wilharber indicated parking in the driveway was <br />covered on Page 53 of the new Ordinance and Page 48 of the old Ordinance. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hanson indicated that the Commission had changed the Ordinance to allow <br />residents in the R-4 district of Royal Meadows who do not already have a garage to build <br />an accessory structure of a maximum of 440 square feet. <br /> <br />Council Liaison Broussard Vickers indicated the word “minimum” was used where the <br />word “maximum” should have been in the Ordinance concerning the 200 square feet <br />allowed if a resident currently has a garage. <br /> <br />Mr. Lloyd Drilling of 7185 Mound Trail asked why the Commission decided to allow <br />dog kennels in industrial and not commercial. Commissioner Kilian indicated that <br />commercial zoning is closer to residential and the Commission felt it would be better to <br />have dog kennels further from the residential zoning to buffer residents from the noise. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Thompson of 1657 Peltier Lake Drive asked for an explanation of the <br />wording on the notice he received. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hanson explained that the notice had a list of things to be discussed at the <br />public hearings at this meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner DeVine explained that the Ordinance requires that a minimum setback of <br />75 feet be maintained from the lake. <br /> <br />Mr. Al LaMotte of 1643 Heritage clarified that nothing was being changed on the <br />lakeshores. <br /> <br />Commissioner DeVine clarified that the City had an issue when one developer built a <br />house closer to the lake than the rest of the houses in the development and this addition to <br />the Ordinance would keep the houses in line. <br /> <br />Page 8 of 24 <br /> <br />
