The facility should be designed to provide an integrated play setting for both <br /> children and parents/care providers of a abilities. Playground facilities should be designed using <br /> the guideline in the Recommendationsfor accessible Guidelines: Recreational Facilities and <br /> Outdoor Developed Areas (see ordering information in Item 15}. Applications that do not give <br /> enough information to deternune the degree of accessibility cannot be considered for funding. <br /> The plan must contain the followuig: <br /> - show all of the proposed components <br /> - highlight the accessible components <br /> - identify the type(s), depth(s) and location(s) of the protective fa11 surfacing <br /> - highlight the accessible surfacing areas <br /> Included in this section please find the final playground plans for Laurie LaMotte Memorial <br /> Park. At this time a single play structure is b�ing proposed. The playground stracture meets or <br /> exceeds requirements for access under the Accessibility Guidelines for Play Areas develbped by <br /> the Federal Access Board. The structure is proposed to be constructed over 12 inches of wood- <br /> carpet (FIBAK). Wood-carpet is an approved accessible surfacing material. The structure wi11 <br /> be surrounded by 34 play-curbs to contain the wood-carpet material. Also included are <br /> highlighted price lists for bleachers, redwood benches and vertica.l bike racks. <br />
