. Laurie LaMotte Park is located southwest of the old central business district, along the <br /> western edge of the City. The park contains a hockey rink, a pleasure skating rink soccer <br /> fields, softball diamonds, and park building. This is the largest City park at approxirnately <br /> 19.8 acres and is the primary facility for organized recreation activities in the City. Tracie <br /> 7oy McBride Park, a neighborhood park, is appro�mately 4.2 acres, and is located at the <br /> north end of Shad Avenue. Roya1 Meadows Park, located between Shad Avenue and <br /> West Robin Lane, is another neighborhood park with approxirriately four acres. Acorn <br /> Creek Park, which was recently dedicated by the City, is located at 74th Street, and ��, <br /> consists of three acres in size. Two small parks have not been developed at this time: Mill <br /> _ Road Park and Cedar Street Park. Public park and recreation facilities are indicated in <br /> Figure #8. <br /> Communit� Facilities <br /> � The Centerville City Ha11/Fire Department is located on Main Street (CSAH 14) in the <br /> center of the communiry. Centerville is a member of the Centennial Fire District, which is <br /> a joint agreement between Centerville, Lino Lakes and Circle Pines and has a full time fire <br /> chief and 50 volunteers. The City contracts with Circle Pines-Le�ington Police <br /> Department, which has 12 rewlar and 2 part time police officers. The City Public Works <br /> facility is located on Sorel Street, west of Centerville Road. <br /> Centerville, along with Lino Lakes, Circle Pines, Lexington and a portion of Blaine are <br /> part of the Centennial School District (Independent School District #12). Centerville has <br /> one elementary school (Centerville Elementary School), located one block north of Main <br /> Street on the corner af Progress Road and Westview Street. The school was constructed <br /> in 1959 and currently has 24 classrooms, a library, kitchen, multi-purpose room (aym) and <br /> o�ices. Junior high and senior tugh students attend school in Circle Pines. <br /> 23 <br />
