May 23, 2001 <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> Mr. March stated that he felt that the benefits would exceed the expenditure for providing <br /> the plans to potentially developers. <br /> Vote: 4— AYes, (Mayor Swedberg, Council Members Capra, Nelson and Travis), 1 <br /> — Na�(Council Member Broussard Vickers). Motion carried. <br /> �_ <br /> 4. Ad Hoc Communications U�date <br /> Ms. Theresa Brenner, Ad Hoc Communications Chair, stated that the survey had been <br /> distributed in the spring newsletter. Ms. Brenner stated that the due date to return the <br /> surveys would be June 1, 2001. <br /> Ms. Brenner stated that the Committee had discussions with the North Metro <br /> Telecommunications Commission representatives and intended upon following up on <br /> ideas discussed. <br /> Ms. Brenner stated that the Committee was in need of a way to tabulate and use the <br /> information gathered from the surveys. She then asked Council for $100 to pay a <br /> consultant to design a computer program that would make it easy to input the data from <br /> the surveys and to put that information into different types of reports. <br /> Council Member Nelson questioned whether the program could be utilized far additional <br /> ` surveys in the ftiture. Council Member Capra stated she thought that the program would <br /> be set up for this specific survey and that the program would be beneficial. <br /> Motion bv Council Member Nelson, seconded b_y Council Member Broussard <br /> Vickers to aQurove an amount not to exceed $100 for a com�uter program to <br /> tabulate the results of the recent surve�mpleted bv the Ad Hoc Committee. All in <br /> favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Ms. Brenner requested that Council consider submitting a press release to the Quad <br /> Community Press during the time the newsletter is not being published. <br /> Mayor Swedberg directed Mr. March to provide the Week in Review to the Quad <br /> Community Press for publishing during such time as the newsletter is on hold. <br /> 5. Pheasant Marsh Feasibility Study <br /> Terry Hannah, Ground Development, was present and offered to answer questions <br /> concerning the feasibility study. <br /> Mr. March stated that the feasibility study had been received yesterday and Staff <br /> forwarded same to Council Members' homes in the morning. Mr. March stated that no <br /> action was needed at this point. <br /> Mr. Peterson stated that Council needed to review the project and noted that Council <br /> needed to set a public hearing on the feasibility study in order to keep on the established <br /> , timeline.
