This may be the last weekend if you want to get out and skate.
* A meeting was held with Paul McDowelt of Northern Forest Produc#s. Paul Palzer and !
Milo Bennett met with Mr. McDowell to finalize the requirements for the building permit for
the Northern Forest Products expansion. Construction should begin in approximately sixty
days. The building expansion wilt be approximately 25,000 square feet. It's great to see
the local businesses expanding.
* I met with Mike Kraft from Shea Architects yesterday. Shea Architects designed the
County Bank in Centerville. Mr. Kraft submitted a proposal for design services for the
proposed new monument entrance sign. the scope of services would include meeting with
interested City representatives to discuss design objectives and conceptual review of other
signs. They would develop and present up to three options for sign design, including
colors and methods of lighting. They would develop a pr+eferred des6gn option to include a
pricing document for bidding to sign manufacturer(s). Also included is their review of shop
drawings from selected sign manufacturer and review of construction of sign during
fabrication and at cQmpletion of installation. They would bill on an hourly basis with a cost
estimate of $1600 plus reimbursable expenses of approximately $200. I was told that this
is a low cost project for them, but they are highly interested in working in Centerville. Mr.
Kraft indicated that they would be extremely interested in designing a sign that would be
complimentary to the County Bank. Furthermore, Mr. Kraft submitted a proposal for design
concept services for the downtown area and the undeveloped commercial area near the
interchange. 1 also have a design proposal for the monument entrance sign coming from
CotorSigns.
* Lloyd Drilling received approval of his developer's agreement for his proposed
commercial center. He would like to pick up the building permit within the near fu#ure.
3/2/O1
