February t 5, 2001 . . <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> Mr. March stated the City typically would not pay someone in this type of situation, _ <br /> which is why this item is before Council. <br /> Council Member Capra questioned whether there was an agreement between the City and <br /> Ms. Scott stating she would be paid if the meeting was not held on a scheduled date. Mr. <br /> March indicated there was nothing in writing. <br /> Motion bY Council Member Capra, seconded by Conncil Member Nelson to deny - <br /> the request for payment from Ms. Scott. <br /> Council Member Travis stated he had no problem paying her, as it was not her fault the <br /> meeting was changed without much notice. <br /> Council Member Broussard Vickers stated that even though there is nothing in writing <br /> concerning Council meeting dates it has been the same two Wednesdays of the month for <br /> a long, long time. Ms. Scott is a freelance professional who books her time and counts on <br /> her income. She had booked Wednesday evening and was available to the City even <br /> though the City changed the meeting date. She then stated she feels Ms. Scott should be <br /> compensated for the meeting as she was available and the City did not provide much <br /> notice to her of the change in meeting date. <br /> Council Member Nelson asked how much notice Ms. Scott received. Mr. March stated <br /> he believed she got approximately a nine (9) day notice. Council Member Broussazd Vickers denied the friendly <br /> amendment request. <br /> 10. Sensus (Equipment/7nstallation/Upgrades — Software� <br /> Mr. Palzer was not available to discuss this matter as he was videotaping the meeting. <br /> Motion by Council Member Travis, seconded by Council Member Broussard <br /> Vickers to table discassion of this item to the next Council meeting.
