ITEM 10 - PAR� AND k2ECREATION OI2GANIZATION <br /> Describe how your community addresses park and recreation issues. Additional ranking points <br /> will be awarded if you can document the existence ot' an active park and recreation board, <br /> cammittee or similar erjanization formally established by the applicant to acidress park and <br /> recreation issues. Appropriate documentation must include a copy of the Iocal resolution <br /> creatin� the park and recreation orjanization or a copy of the minutes appointing the cunent <br /> members, a current committee roster and me�ting schedule of the or;anization. <br /> The City of Centerville has had a formal park and recreation committee since 1972. The cunent <br /> committeP consists of five members. The group meets regularly on the first Wednesday of the <br /> month at City Hall at 7:00. The meetin� times are posted on the community bulletin board and <br /> pub�ished in the quarterly newsletter. In additiQn, there are currently two advisory committees <br /> that have been established to provide input to the Park and Recreation Comrnittee in regards to <br /> rzcreatianal programming and park development. <br /> The cLrrent Park and Recreation Committee members are as follows : � <br /> l�iichael Navin, Chairperson I <br /> Dale Larson <br /> Steve Brown <br /> Doujlas Porter <br /> Don Bahneman <br /> Attached as Exhibit l0A is Resolution 99-01 that appoints the current Park and Recreation <br /> Corrunittee members for the present year. <br /> I <br />
