Several riders have stopped <br /> in to City Hall to pick up a copy of our ordinance. I spoke to Doug Koppy (Rice Creek Trail I <br /> Association) yesterday. He indicated that they would like to have another meeting at City I <br /> Hall during mid-January to further educate riders. �� <br /> I <br /> * Aimee Fairbrother has been appointed to the Economic Development Committee. There I <br /> is still one vacancy on the committee yet to be filled. � <br /> * A cafl was received at C�ty Hall yesterday inquiring abaut having a new traffic study � <br /> completed on Main Street. The calter indicated that they were looking to site a fast food <br /> restaurant. They are going to contact Anoka County in regards to having them perform a <br /> study. <br /> * The unusuaE heavy snowfait has not created tao many problems �n regards to <br /> snowpiowing. However, due to the large snow amounts in the yards water utility bi!!s wil! <br /> be estimated for the fourth quarter. This has been done finrice before in heavy snowfall <br /> seasons. <br /> * The Centervitie Lions will be sponsoring a youth and adult ice fishing contest on <br /> Centerville Lake on February 10th. The event will be held from 12:00 to 3:00. Food will be <br /> served. Registration will only be five dollars and many prizes will be awarded. Watch for <br /> posters to come out in the nexf week. <br /> � The Centerville Council transition is welt underway. The new Counei! is pfanning a <br /> workshop prior to the first meeting on January 10th. The new Council will be discussing <br /> goals for the next year and Council's method of operation and organization. The Council <br /> 12/29/00 <br />
