This is the meeting that is held to I I <br /> contact the County Assessor about your property valuation concerns. I <br /> * Garage Sale Days is scheduled for May 18th and May 19th. We have had several calls � <br /> from residents wanting to know the dates for this year's event. It keeps getting bigger and I <br /> bigger each year. I <br /> � <br /> * The Fete des Lacs committee has held their first meeting. They plan to have their � <br /> regular meetings on the third Monday of the month. � <br /> * Aimee Fairbrother has been elected as the new chair of the EDC. Lori Dorn has <br /> submitted her resignation to EDC. Rick Terway is being recommended to Council to fill a <br /> current vacancy on this committtee. <br /> * Laura Thompson has resigned her position with the City to accept a full-time position at a <br /> local bank. Joel McPherson has indicated that he wou(d accept the vacancy in the public <br /> works department if approved by Councii. Joel had worked with Tedd Peterson in St. Paul <br /> for several years. He was the next highest ranked candidate when interviews were last <br /> conducted. <br /> * A petition has been delivered to City Hall requesting that City water and streetscape <br /> enchancements be made to the downtown area. This is the next required step in downtown <br /> revitalization. This item will be on the next Council agenda. The Council will have to <br /> consider having a formal feasibility study completed/updated by the City Engineer for this <br /> project. <br /> * The block commercia! building located south of Ro-So Contracting has a new owner. He <br /> plans to expand the existing building and possibly add an additional commercial building to <br /> 1/19/O1 <br />
