All in favor Motion <br /> carried unanimouslv. <br /> Council Member Travis requested that the minutes be contained in Council packets <br /> allowing review prior to the Council meeting. Mr. March indicated the minutes are <br /> � usually in packets but due to staff absences, the deadline for packets was not met so the <br /> minutes were e-mailed to Council Members. <br /> Mr. March noted the minutes would not be on the consent agenda at future meetings as it <br /> is an item that warrants review and discussion. <br /> IX. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Council Member Capra reported that the Economic Development Committee (EDC) <br /> intends to hand out a flier at Snow Days at Wargo Nature Center and asked for Council <br /> Approval of the flier. She also noted that EDC has donated $100 for prize money at the <br /> event. <br /> Council Member Broussard Vickers questioned the need for Council approval. Council <br /> Member Capra stated the flier is coming from the City and she believed it should be <br /> approved by Council. <br /> Motion bv Mavor Swedberg seconded by Council Member Capra to approve the <br /> EDC flier as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimousl� <br /> Council Member Travis reported that the Fire Steering Committee met last Thursday, but <br /> due to a lack of quorum, there was no voting. Due to the lack of a quorum, another <br /> meeting would be scheduled prior to the April meeting. Mr. March noted the meeting <br /> had been scheduled for February 19, 2001, which is President's Day and will have to be <br /> rescheduled. <br /> X. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> Staff was directed to check with Rice Creek Watershed District to see if they were <br /> interested in purchasing the property at 7007 20�' Avenue for green space. Rice Creek <br /> Watershed informed Mr. March they do not have funds available to acquire the property <br /> at this time. If the City would be purchasing the property to turn it into a park that would <br /> be of benefit to the water quality of the creek, there may be something that could be <br /> worked out. <br /> � <br /> I Page 12 of 14 <br />
