Coordinated work with NBRD, State Fish and Game, State DNR, and many <br /> , small cities throughout the area. ResponsiUle for all personnel action including <br /> hiring and termination. Attended meetings with Regional Supervisor, Assistant <br /> Director. and State Camp Directors to solve problems. Participated in Federal <br /> Review Team consisting of Regional Directors from Departments of Agriculture and <br /> Interior, personnel from Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, North Cascades <br /> National Park Service, and Cascades YACC Director. Worked with Human Relations <br /> staff of blt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Maintained accountability of impress <br /> funds. <br /> SAFE'I'1' & ENFORCEMENT: Performed on-site inspections of crews and <br /> supervisors in areas of work accomplishments and safety. Instructed supervisors in <br /> safety with hand tools, chain saw, and working with the environment to reduce <br /> impact. Counseled supervisors �vith crew problems. Documented all incidents. <br /> Reported responsibilities for all actions taken by supervisors. <br /> MAINTENANCE/EQUIPMENT: Responsible for a vehicle fleet of six. Contracted <br /> maintenance of fleet and kept records of mileage, etc. Responsible for tool inventory, <br /> security, anci maintenance of Fecleral property on-site. Set up contracts (BPOs) with <br /> local outlets to service chainsaws, vehicles, and to obtain tools, hardware and other <br /> supplies. <br /> July 1978 to U.S. Fish & Wilcllife Service YACG Camp 22G4, Nakoma ND <br /> June 1979 Work Leader GS-5 <br /> One of initial nine staff inembers hired to establish and develop YACC program. <br /> Particip�ted in project planning, enrollee recruitment, and administrative <br /> arganization of the camp, including obtaining supplies and materials to open camp. <br /> Directed first non-residential spike camp of 10 enrollees in Bismarck (250 miles from <br /> headquart.ers). Coorclinated �vith USFWS, State Fish and Game Dept., State Parks, <br /> City Parks and Forests to establish their work needs, projects and personnel. <br /> Worked ���ith local em��lo,vment of'fice to recruit enrollees and to project statewide <br /> needs. Directly supervised ten enrollees to accomplish work projects: clean up dead <br /> and cliseased game, checked and maintained pop guns and constructed fences in <br /> National Wildlife Refuges. Operated airboats to transport crews on lakes and <br /> swamps. :assisted with minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and general camp <br /> maintenance. Also monitored the operation of the boiler sy�stem in buildings. Winter <br /> work consisted of removal of trees from edge of recreation lake areas, repair, <br /> sanding ancl refinishing of picnic tables for camp and local recreation areas, <br /> 6 <br />
