Interviews for four final candidates for the position of <br /> Media Relations Specialist have been completed. Interviews for eight final candidates for <br /> the position of City Clerk have been campleted. Thank you to Councii persons Mari Nelson � <br /> and Linda Broussard-Vickers for sitting on the interview panel for this hiring process. I was I <br /> very pleased with the caliber of the candidates we had for interviews. Our interview panel ' <br /> looks forward to making a recommendation to Council at tonight's budget workshop. <br /> * The Fete des Lacs revitalization committee meeting was a success. There were <br /> approximately a dozen voiuntesrs who showed some interest and generated some ideas <br /> for a bigger and better City Celebration in 2000! <br /> * The Uloreland property has been cleaned up. The public works department was able to <br /> remove much of the debris with a rented front end loader. The property owner was ' <br /> coo�erative in the process. A police officer and I were in attendance to explain the I <br /> procedure to the property owner. Ms. Moreland se�med relieved to finai(y have some help ' <br /> to fix the problem. Thank you to everyone involved in this successful project. <br /> * I received a phone call from Tollefson Development. Mr. Tollefson indicated that his <br /> development company had purchased the twenty acre Moore property. This property is <br /> currently. zoned R-1 Rural Residential. The property is in the current MUSA. The property <br /> is located north of the Woods of Clearwater Creek and the Deer Pass subdivision. The <br /> developer has requested our procedures for subdivision. <br /> * I spoke to Keith Ebensteiner late last week. Mr. Ebensteiner indicated that he would be <br /> bringing a site plan before the next Plan�ing and Zoning Commission meeting for an <br /> approximate 12,000 square foot speculative building in the Industrial Park. They are also <br /> working on the design for an approximate 16,000 square foot building to be built as well. <br /> 8/31'99 <br />
