Family Skate Ni�ht <br /> It was determinect that Park and Recreation would have three Family Skate Night's; Sunday, <br /> January 9`' Sunday, January 23T and Sunday, February 6`�', �000. The time wauld run from <br /> 4:00 — 6:00 p.m. The City will supply �he papcorn and hot chocolate, praviding the committee <br /> gets sameone ta run the event, such as girl scouts, boy scouts etc. Whoever we get to run the <br /> event, will be able to sell their own goods if they desire (girl scout cookies, etc). <br /> i � <br /> Letter from Metropolitan Council <br /> � ��Ietropolitan Council responded to the letter written by Mr. LeBlanc on behalf of the Park and <br /> Recreation Cammittee. Basically, the letter referenced NIr. John VonDeLinde, Anoka County <br /> Parks Director as our contact person regarding trail linkage. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Park Dedieation Fees <br /> Mr. March commented that he has surveyed several surrounding cities, and found that several of <br /> the cities have ��ised their park dedication fees to $1,500 per lot. Mr. March recommended that <br /> Park and Recreation raise their park dedication fee accordingiy from �1,200 to $1,500. <br /> 1�lotion by Mr. Navin to recommend to Council to raise the park dedIl�ation fe�es from � <br /> $1,2�0 to $1,500 per lot for the year 2000. Seconded by Mr. Larson. All i� favor. Motion <br /> carried. i <br /> Waterwo: ks <br /> Mr. March explained that tL1r. R?ck DeFoe �pproached him and asked if the City would be i <br /> interest�d in any of the equipment from his ball field such as lighti�g, fence, and/or backstops '' <br /> (just the physical stnictures, not the Iandj. l�tr. DeFoe is budlding his home in that area and needs � <br /> to r�move these things. Apparently he ?���s already offered the diamond to the Little League. <br /> Mr. March felt it would be prudent to have a feasibility study done to get appropriate trails and '� <br /> easements. <br /> Public Hearin� at Plannin� and Zoning�Meet�n� <br /> Mr. March stated that Mr. Drilling has purchased the property directly across the street from Cit�� <br /> Hai_l. N1r. Dr?ilir�� wani��s t� re-��one the property and demolish the house�.
