Nelson questioned if it was decided that CounciI would establish goals and objectives prior to the <br /> � budget workshop. Mr. March replied that the workshop could include both the budget and goals. <br /> ' Councilmember Sweeney expounded on Safety Camp that is held from 6 a.m, to 6 p.m. and is designed <br /> � to assist in safety procedures while camping, biking or fire safety, etc. The cost is $10.00 which is to off <br /> i set a meal and beverages. Through out the day, children work with Police Officers, Fire Fighters and <br /> parents. <br /> , Councilmember Nelson requested an update on the Cedar Street property and the purchase of a <br /> generator. Mr. March planned to bring the generator information before the Council after the City is in <br /> receipt of additional information regarding the generator and its size. Mr. March explained the Council <br /> can discuss selling or using the Cedar Street property at a future meeting. <br /> Councilmember Nelson queried Staff regarding the Notice of Repairs sent to citizens. Mr. March <br /> explained that he was in discussion with Mr. Hoeft as to the legal issues concerning same. <br /> Resolution 99-09 Centerville Elementar�School� Speed Reduction Zone <br /> Ms. Gaustad gave an update pertaining to the Centerville Elementary School Speed Reduction Zone:� In <br /> short, Legislative action supports speed reduction near the school. However, Anoka County needs <br /> Centerville Council approval, prior to the signage change. Mr. Jon Olson (Anoka County Highway <br /> Department) was present to answer questions from the Council. <br /> Motion bv Councilmember Sweenev. seconded b�Councilmember Nelson to approve Resolution ' <br /> 99-09 requesting Anoka County Highway D�artment to reduce the speed in front of the school. � <br /> Motion carried unanimouslv.
