The grant application was <br /> suhmitted to the Outdoor Recrea.tion Grant Program sponsored by. the DNR. Funding for this <br /> program is appropriated by the Legislature upon recommendation of the Legisla.tive Commission <br /> on Minnesota Resources. This year, only 30 applications received funding out of a total of 138 <br /> submitted applications. <br /> The City of Centerville will use this matching grant to improve the Acorn Creek Pazk. The <br /> improvements will consist of a playground and trailway improvements. The grant application was <br /> completed by City staff with the support of several azea residents.
