Chairperson M'ichael Navin called the_meeting to order at_6:35, p.m. <br /> Present: Chairperson Michael Navin � <br /> Don Bahneman <br /> Da1e Larson' <br /> Terry Sweeney <br /> Absent: Steve Brown <br /> Doug Porter ' <br /> Staff: Jill Lien • <br /> James Bownik <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Michael Navin opened up the Public Hearing by requesting James Bownik, City Intern to <br /> give a brief summary of the two (2) grants offered by the DNR. The City is applying for <br /> two of the same grants one to be used at the Acorn Creek Park and one to be used-at_the <br /> LaMotte Park. Mr. Bownik explained they are a 50% ma.tching grant - each in the <br /> � amount of $50,000.00. The City would contribute $50,000.00 and with the match of <br /> $50,000.00, there would be approximately $100,000.00 for each park. The money could <br /> be used for City park improvements such as: playground equipment, picnic. shelters, <br /> concession stand, soccer fields, benches, trash receptacles, lights, BBQ stands etc., at both <br /> parks. . <br /> 1Vlicha.el Navin mentioned receipt of a packet of information submitted by the Centetville <br /> Neighborhood Network Committee wluch included surveys taken the week of February <br /> 20th. The results of the surveys are in the form of graphs and charts indicating what the <br /> neighboring residerns would like to see in the park, the name of the park, other statistical <br /> information and letters of support. <br />
