He cautioned the City though - he felt if the City let local residents <br /> design the park, that the residents shouldha�re experienced guidelines, taking into <br /> consideration the ultimate development, future trails and the comprehensive plan. <br /> Micha.el_Navin questioned if the comprehensive_plan was_ta.ken into consideration. <br /> Aimee Fairbrother replied: "Yes, the comprehensive plan was looked at." <br /> Da1e Larson requested that the Neighborhood_Network Committee submit a"thumb <br /> sketch" of their vision of Acom Creek. <br /> Terry Sweeney agreed with Mr. Larson, adding that the Neighborhood Network <br /> Committee should submit a concept plan to Ms. Lien who will then forward it on to the <br /> appropriate people of the Park and Recreation Committee and Administrator, Tim. March. <br /> 1Vfichael Navin motioned to close the Public Hearing noting thax the Neighborhood I � <br /> Network Committee submit a concept plan. Park and Recreation will need to be. advised � <br /> of its direction - without knowing budget amounts. <br /> Terry Sweeney felt that ifthe grant was.for $SO,OOO.OQ and.the City matches.$50,000.00 I <br /> then the Neighborhood Network Committee and Pazk and Recreation Committee should � <br /> use $100,000.00 as a benchmark. <br /> 7eff Gibbons (7203 Clear Ridge) commented that there may be additional _grants secured '' <br /> at a later date. Adding, once you come up with a plan, you can strategize getting funds <br /> from other sources. � <br /> Jarnes Bownik agreed, come up with a plan, submit it, and wait to see what the DNR is <br /> willing to fund. � <br /> Lori Dorn (1836 Revoir Street) questioned whax happened to the money the. developer <br /> gave for Acom Creek. <br /> lv�ichael Navin explained the developer for Acom Creek gave Iand, not cash for this <br /> development. Adding, we still have $25,000.00 in park dedication fees from the Buechler <br /> Development in the Park and Recreation.account. <br /> 11Sichael Navin suggested Park and Recreation give the Neighborhood Network <br /> Committee a deadline of two (2) weeks_- March 17, 1999, to submit their concept.plan for <br /> Acom Creek Park.
