_ ' '
' Aimee Fairbrother (1844 Revoir Street) stressed-her and the neighborhoods concerns
about what was mentioned at the last Park and Recreation meeting about the vision of
Acorn Creek Pa.rk being geared more towazds adults. Ms. Fairbrather mentioned how the
City is very focused on youth and a possible youth center in the City. She went on further
to explain that the Neighborhood Network Committee went to 76 homes in the. immediate
area surrounding Acorn Creek Park. Out of the 76 homes, 63 were available for
comment. Mr. Navin stressed the Park and Recreation Committee needs to consider what the
City has in mind as far as athletics.
Tom Fairbrather (1844 Revoir Street) questioned parking, and if it would be required to
have designated parking.
James Bownik felt it would be required to have a-minimum of hand'scap parking / off
street pazking versus no parking.
Dale Larson stated the Park and Recrea.tion Gommittee is trying to gear the City parks to
a11 residents of Centerville. Mr. Larson listed several parks and their amenities, adding it
would be nice ta have a park for adults and famil reunions, etc. Not tha.t the adults using
, the parks wi11 be hobbling around with canes - we could still have playground equipment
for the children.
_ _ __ __ ___ ___-- _ -- -----_ _ _ ._--,. ------ ______------_--_._---__------- -
_..__-_ _--_--------____ ____..______-------_
Tom Fairbrother (1844 Revoir Street) stated that the adults have the ability to drive to
any park they choose to go to. The children aren't able to drive to other parks like the
adults are, and that no matter what goes into the Acorn Creek Park, the children of the
area will be there - no matter what. Adding, the othez "proposed" park by the lake could
be designed more for adults - it would be a perfect spot for adults and reunions, etc..
Jill Lien 1810 Ha eld Road uestioned wh the Acorn Creek Park cannot be desi ed
 Yfi ) 9 Y
f r h I hil r n.
