Zoning meeting. The purpose for this workshop will be to give input to the re-writing of
Ordinance #4. Mr. March added that once this is completed, it will solve a lot of our
problems.
rr n dates
Mr. March gave an overview of the two Outdoor Recreation Grants that will be
submitted to the DNR ne week. A resolution for each grant will be on the consent
agenda for the City Council meeting on March 24, 1999. The Acorn Creek estimated
project cost is $91,640. We are asking for a grant in the amount of $45,820. We are atso
proposing a local match to come from park dedication funds. For the Acorn Creek park
project, we will have about $10,800 of sweat equity from the residents that have
volunteered to install the playground equipment. Councilmember Theresa Brenner
recommended that a summary of the grant be included in the newsletter. Councilmember
Brenner and Councilmember Sweeney agreed that the cover page of the grant, (photo of
the City sign with children from the city surrounding the sign) should be on the cover of
our newsletter. Councilmember Sweeney stated that if the picture was printed on an ink
jet printer, it would produce a clearer picture. The Council supported the Acorn Creek ,
Park grant application as well as the Laurie LaMotte Park grant application.
ADJOURN
Motion to adjourn the worksho made Mayor Wilharber, seconded bv I
Councilmember Sweenev.
