FE 2 5 19
February 22, 1999
City of Centeruille
1884 Main Street
Centerville, MN 55038
Loren and Lisa Abrahamson
1868 Revoir St.
Centerville, MN SSQ38
To the Park and Recreation Committee,
We have recently been made aware that decisions are being made regarding the
development of the neighborhood park in the Acorn Creek housing subdivision. We
would like to ensure the park is developed with input from all the surrounc}ing neighbors
and want to voice our own thoughts, especially since we are a home that directly borders
the park. '
We would like to see the park developed as a family park with a play struct3,u for young
children, along with a fair amount of open sgace so that "yard games" by the ,
neighborhood could be created. This park colld be a great gathering place for the local
neighborhood kids and adzits.
We also want to ensure the homes bordering the park are addressed as far as landscaping
to eliminate or minimize the negative impact the deveoped park could have.
We have liveti here for about 1.5 years and were promised ly the developer at the time of
building, that the park was designated as a"family" park and with 2 young children, that
was one of the reasons for building where we did. ,
We appreciate you recagniing all of the locl input in the parks design phase, as that's I
the community who it's ultimately there to serve.
Sincerely,
'. . a.'.. _
Loren and Lisa Abrahamson
cc: City Council
Mayor
