The "no parking" concerns are addressed by the on duty o�icers at the onset and end of each <br /> school day. The "no parking" areas are namely for the bus circulation. <br /> , Mayor Wilharber noted receipt of a letter executed by Ms. Kathy Millington which addressed <br /> snowmobiles and the safety of the children. <br /> Ms. Kathy Millington commented that the safety of the children is a high priority at the school. <br /> Randv Hagerty - Present Recycling Awards <br /> Mr. Randy Hagerry presented recycling awaxds to two commercial businesses. Tom Thumb and <br /> Corner Express accepted the 1998 recycling awards. Mayor Wilharber recognized the business <br /> owners: Mr.& Ms. John Magill and Ms. Monique Sahlstrom, for participating in the City's <br /> recycling efforts. <br /> Bob Makela & Nicholas Miller - Communitv Qriented Poficing <br /> Mr. Nicholas Miller, Community Service Officer (CSO) and Mr. Bob Makela (Deputy Chiefl <br /> were present to discuss community oriented policing. Each area has captains and co- <br /> captains that meet twice a year, answer neighbors questions, watch homes and have annual block <br /> parties. <br /> In addition, Deputy Chief Makela briefed the council on the police departments grid system for <br /> the Neighborhood Watch Program and McGruffHouses. The grid system is comprised of grid 5 <br /> - south of Main Street and grid 6- north of Main Street. Crime watch groups assist neighbors to <br /> know one another and to watch each others homes while at work or on vacation. Also, enjoyable <br /> activities are scheduled throughout the year, i. e.
